Our client is a leading international investment firm with over €40 billion in assets under management across private equity, private debt, and real estate strategies. They seek an ambitious individual to head up the group's financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting

  • Take a lead role in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting (e.g. management accounts, quarterly board reports, quarterly reporting to external investors and other reports) on a timely basis

  • Identify and implement improvements to the content of regular reporting and to the efficiency of it's production

  • Reviewing results against budget and prior periods, challenging variances to ensure the accuracy of reporting

  • Communicating drivers of budget variances effectively via the management accounts commentary

  • The preparation and delivery of cost centre reporting, including some 'business partnering' with cost centre owners

  • Taking ownership of certain external reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to external bodies and regulators

  • Participating in other ad-hoc projects and dealing with ad-hoc queries from across the firm 

Financial Planning & Analysis  

  • Play a key role in the preparation of multi-year plans, budgets and forecasts, with a specific focus on ensuring that the data infrastructure to complete these activities is reliable and flexible

  • Support management decisions through regular and informative forecasting and business analysis

  • Support management with other ad-hoc FP&A projects, business reporting and analysis

Interactions:

Main internal interaction is with:

  • Group Finance, Fund Control, IT, Legal, Compliance

The position holder may have requirement to work with various external parties, such as:

  • Banks, Administrators, Auditors, Accounting Advisors and tax authorities 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, with a minimum of 5+ years PQE

  • Degree or equivalent 

  • Professional experience within financial services and ideally Private Assets, with demonstratable experience in Financial Planning & Analysis 

  • Fluent in English (Other European languages an advantage)

  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office), NetSuites, Oracle PBCS
